<br />Taking inspiration from Jane Austen's novel Pride and Prejudice which was first published in 1813. As the book's name suggests, this tale deals with issues in the 19th Century of social standing, morality, marriage and love through the main characters;- intelligent, spirited and quick witted Elizabeth Bennet and of course the dashing Mr Darcy.

<br />The bookmark features Mr Darcy's proposal "You must allow me to tell you how ardently I admire and love you''. I have used a handwriting font and hand stamped the words and vintage images and a complementary border design in a sepia tone. I have also added a small faux half pearl heart shaped cabochon. Highlights of gold glitter can be seen and the bookmark has been sealed with a matt gloss.
