Description
These are my favourite poppies, lilac with deep purple splotches and lime green centres. I sneaked the seeds from the previous house I lived in, because my boyfriend hated them. When he wasn’t looking I chucked them over the whole garden of our new house (I am a bad person), I thought this plan had failed but two years later, up they popped, and this year I decided I simply must paint them. I set the lovely vibrant colours against the textures of our old faded garden fence. The original painting sold (before I had even finished it) but if you love poppies in all their colours you can own this beautiful print.
