These fossil Ammonites have over a period of millions of years become Pyrite, so a metal like structure, which makes these little fossils very tough and strong and unusually weighty for their size and is very dark grey, almost black in colour, with great definition.

These lovely little Pyrite Fossil Ammonites were located with a natural round perforation in the centre, making them ideal for mounting onto a triangle bail and teamed up with silvertone or Goldtone curb style keychain and split ring, to make the items useable as a Keyring or handbag charm.
