Product Description:

This is a pysanka, a wax-resist dyed egg. They're usually referred to as "Ukrainian Easter eggs".

This chicken egg was hand-written with melted beeswax and dyed repeatedly. After many layers, I coated the entire thing in wax to protect it while emptying the contents. Then, the wax was melted off, revealing the bright beautiful colors you see here. This is a very traditional color combination.
