Description
"Little red dahlia" original acrylic mini painting on 2.5" x 3.5" x .5" canvas with magnets on the back so you can hang it on your fridge (or file cabinet!) Perfect to brighten up your kitchen or office.

<br />I love dahlias. Seriously, they are the most amazing flower. I could spend a lifetime painting only dahlias. For this little flower, I used multiple layers of pyrrole red and pyrrole red light over an under-painting of iridescent silver. For the shadows, I used a combination of pyrrole red dark and bone black. The background is bone black and the whole thing is finished with Golden Archival Varnish.

<br />I use only the highest grade, artist quality acrylic paints, gels and mediums from Golden Artist Colors. These materials are archival and meant to last.
