"Little red dahlia" original acrylic mini painting on 2.5" x 3.5" x .5" canvas with magnets on the back so you can hang it on your fridge (or file cabinet!) Perfect to brighten up your kitchen or office.I love dahlias. Seriously, they are the most amazing flower. I could spend a lifetime painting only dahlias. For this little flower, I used multiple layers of pyrrole red and pyrrole red light over an under-painting of iridescent silver. For the shadows, I used a combination of pyrrole red dark and bone black. The background is bone black and the whole thing is finished with Golden Archival Varnish.
I use only the highest grade, artist quality acrylic paints, gels and mediums from Golden Artist Colors. These materials are archival and meant to last.
