This art quilt was sewn in a pet- & smoke-free studio.
On the sage cotton ground are rocks & stones of velvet & ultrasuede; wisps of cheesecloth are interspersed. The background plant materials are strips of felt & tufts of embroidery floss; the foreground plants are silk leaves. Embellished to a fare-thee-well with buttons & seed beads; stone, wood, & shell beads; glass pearls, glass beads, & actual little shells.
