This beautiful needle case or book is a needle felted piece of textile art of a running hare on moorland, made using pure merino wool in beautiful vibrant colours. It makes a wonderful sewing accessory for those that enjoy art and creativity.The wool is layered onto the felt with each layer being thoroughly needled into the felt before the next layer is added. The background is done first in layers and then the hare was added, also layer by layer.
Each picture takes several hours to design and build to produce a textured and tactile piece of work.
The picture is made on dark green felt and also backed with the same dark green felt. .....................
