Sock yarn, hand dyed wool, hand painted, purple, olive green100g by SpinningStreak A new series of bold and bright indie dyed sock yarns - not for the faint hearted, but great fun! The base yarn for this is 75% wool and 25% polyamide for strength. This one is a lovely soft, squishy fine knitting yarn, recommended needle size 3mm for socks (see photo against 1 inch measure for accurate gauge). I hand dyed the wool by injecting, then dip dyeing it with beautifully balanced shades of purple and olive green. There is plenty here for a pair of adult socks - but, of course, it could be used for many other projects.
