Sock yarn hand painted merino 100g red yellow grayFancy some spectacular socks? The base yarn for this is a skein of 100% merino wool, standard 4ply sock yarn weight. The yarn is beautifully soft when knitted up. I hand painted it in shades of citrus yellow, crimson red and charcoal grey. The last pictures show the same hank before it was re-skeined, so that you can see the colour blocks more clearly. There is plenty here to make a great pair of socks (hundreds of free patterns out there!) or, of course, a scarf, lacy shawl, hat, gloves etc.
