Sterling silver earrings with beach pebbles enameled in red to look like stained glass.I found these pebbles on a Lake Michigan beach near my home in Bear Lake, MI., and designed a pair of earrings around them to give the feeling of a beach at sunset.
I cast them in sterling silver using the lost wax casting process, then enameled them in a kiln with red and orange transparent enamels. The enamel was fired into the openings of the design so the light could shine through like stained glass.
I tumbled the stones lightly to give them a sheen and set them in the earrings. They have sterling silver ear wires.
These earrings are for the woman who wants something handmade from raw materials and totally unique.
