This sterling silver enameled necklace is entirely handmade right down to the chain.

I designed the pendant in wax and cast it using the lost wax casting process. The finished pendant is enameled using the finest quality transparent vitreous glass enamel. I fire the enamel on in a kiln. The aqua, lemon yellow and rose enamel has a depth and luster you won't find in lower quality "enamels" made of materials like plastic.
I made the chain by wrapping sterling silver wire around a mandrel, sawing through the wire and soldering the rings closed. Then I wove the rings together to make the chain.
The result of all this hard work: a piece of heirloom-quality jewelry to last many lifetimes.
