Product Description:

"Little Yellow Sunflower" original acrylic mini painting on 2" x 2" x .5" canvas with magnets on the back so you can hang it on your fridge (or file cabinet!) Perfect to brighten up your kitchen or office.

Sunflowers are endlessly fascinating to me. There is such a wide variety of sizes, shapes and colors, that I never get bored painting them!
For the petals of this little flower I applied multiple layers of hansa yellow opaque mixed with varying quantities of titanium white. For the shadows I used quinacridone nickel azo gold (one of my absolute favorite colors!). The center was done with burnt umber and the background with sap green hue mixed with titanium white. I then sealed the painting with Golden Archival varnish.
