Description
"Little Yellow Sunflower" original acrylic mini painting on 2" x 2" x .5" canvas with magnets on the back so you can hang it on your fridge (or file cabinet!) Perfect to brighten up your kitchen or office.

<br />Sunflowers are endlessly fascinating to me. There is such a wide variety of sizes, shapes and colors, that I never get bored painting them!
<br />For the petals of this little flower I applied multiple layers of hansa yellow opaque mixed with varying quantities of titanium white. For the shadows I used quinacridone nickel azo gold (one of my absolute favorite colors!). The center was done with burnt umber and the background with sap green hue mixed with titanium white. I then sealed the painting with Golden Archival varnish.
