Product Description:

This gourd box features a turtle woodburned into the lid. The handle is wood with a rhinestone embellishment on top. The outside of the box is brown, the turtle's shell is natural, and the exterior if finished with semi gloss sealer. The interior including inside of the lid are painted flat black. Signed on the bottom

Approximately 4 1/2" tall with a 5 1/2" diameter, The opening is large and there's plenty of room to store precious keepsakes.

Turtles are a symbol for woman in some cultures. It's one of my favorite animals because I identify in spirit with some of her traits and hope to achieve others. Slow but steady, unobtrusive and ready to hide in her shell, she's also symbolic of wisdom, strength and endurance. Made from one of my own organically grown gourds, this is a special gift for any turtle lover!
