Product Description:
These lovely enamel earrings were inspired by leaves shimmering in a summer breeze. I cast them in sterling silver and enameled them using a technique called "plique-a-jour", or light of day. This technique involves laying wet glass enamel into the openings of the design. Then the piece is fired in a kiln. The earrings created using this technique have the transparency and luminance of stained glass. The ear posts are set with amethyst cabochons. Drop: 1 7/8" Weight: 15 gramsSite:
