Product Description:

This piece began with a fabulous antique store find: Victorian era glass buttons. They are black, oval shaped with faceted edges, depicting a lily plant etched and gold-leafed in the center.

Looking at the buttons, I thought about Victorian fashion with all of its ornament and excess, and began to imagine this elaborate piece--a beaded version of a Victorian lace collar--inspired by the fashion of the era, to feature these very special antique buttons!

4mm faceted round, smoky crystals form the base of the necklace, encased with 3-4mm freshwater pearls. Three 17x25mm black agate (onyx) drops dangle from the center of the piece, accented by a small cascade of wire wrapped pearls and beads. Each dangle is 3 inches long.

The back of the necklace is a luxurious black velvet, finished with four crystals, a freshwater pearl, and a vintage glass bead. Black toggle clasp with rhinestone accent.
