Product Description:

This is a very unique vintage Japanese stencil in Japan. It is called "型紙" or "katagami". This is from the "昭和" "showa period" . The "showa" period is from 1926-1989 but this is about 25-30 years old . This is a stencil that was used to make "kashigata" (for more information on "kashigata please see below).

Kodo (香道, "Way of Incense") is the Japanese art of appreciating incense, and involves using incense within a structure of codified conduct. These symbols are for playing games to guess the incense material.

The first one - No.23 初音 hatsune.

The second one - It is mixed with No.13 明石 akashi and No.12 須磨 suma.
