Vintage style hand dyed cotton knit baby booties lemon pastel greens
These are unusual. I adapted a vintage 'Mary Jane' style baby shoe pattern. I hand dyed the cotton yarn in shades of yellow and green - then decided I wanted more subdued, subtle 'faded' colours to harmonise with the vintage style. So I stripped out some colour, knitted them up, added a couple of carefully chosen pale green buttons - and I am pleased with the result! The bootees measure 5 inches along the sole and are held in place by a narrow ankle strap.
