Description
I love trees and it was a lot of fun to produce this whimsical tree painting. I wanted to make this a really tactile piece where the textures alone translated the subject.

<br />I first laid down a background of paper mache which gives a really lovely texture. I then applied the string work to represent the fantasy tree. I imagined branches on a windy day.

<br />The painting has been painted in acrylics with walnut crystals which give a lovely organic feel to the ground.
