The feathers from four types of rescued birds were used to make this equine mane ornament. From smallest to largest feather, the donors were Blue and Gold Macaw, White Cockatoo, Scarlet Macaw, and Red-cockaded Woodpecker. The feathers were collected as the birds molted, and the birds were not harmed.
Other parts of the dangler include 3 metal stamped feathers and the hair clip to hold it in the mane. The feathers are attached using copper twisted wire. Counting the clip, the dangler is 10 inches long.
This item is a OOAK (hand-made one-of-a-kind). Our model was the peavish Princess Ginger who didn't want her photos taken.
