Do you remember having a "Knitting Nancy" when you were a child? I do! I never quite understood what to do back then with the mountains of knitted cord I made with my cotton reel, but now I know I could have made rugs, hats, "I-Cord" edging for cardigans...the uses are endless!

<br />I have five kits for sale, each one includes a ball of yarn, a varnished wooden cotton reel (with 6 nails hammered in the top) and basic instructions for making your cord. I've listed this as being suitable for children, but, in the absence of a suitable category, I mean those children who are of an age to use this without supervision, probably aged 10 and up. Of course, I'm not suggesting this is suitable *only* for children either - French Knitting is great fun for everyone!

<br />Not included in the kit is the pin to lift the yarn over, but a crochet hook or a knitting needle (or even, ooh, a pin!) is a good substitute.

<br />All proceeds from the sale of this item go towards sending my daughter to the 22nd World Scouting Jamboree, held next year in Skåne, Sweden.
