This technique was discovered in the early 1960's by one of the Aleene's designers who was testing the glue for flammability. Yep! That’s right, this is three layers of brown bag – as in grocery bags – add a coating of Aleene’s Super Thick Tacky Glue - burn with a candle – add antiquing paste and you have the look of metal! Enjoy this vintage Aleene’s technique!
