A hand embossed pewter art deco lady with her afghan dog.Richelle and Alphonse are one of a series of art work by Di Kaye from her Deco Dogs with some guests range. As you can see they look gorgeous in pewter too !
I have embossed this piece entirely by hand using only hand tools. I have filled the raised areas from the back to provide stability and prevent denting. Finally I patina'd the design and polished it to achieve this antique silver colouring. I then painstakingly cut out the image along the outline to finish off the sculpture.
Richelle and Alphonse are ready to be framed in a shadow box, mounted onto a wooden plaque or mirror.
