Bird and Egg Pendant Verdigris Patina Copper by lunedesigns

Shared by lune in the Jewellery

Product Description:

I created this vaguely bird-shaped, double-sided focal from raw copper sheet. After etching two identical shapes with two different floral designs, I fastened them together with tube rivets and antiqued the resulting piece in a traditional verdigris patina. I paired it with a fabulous raku lampwork egg by Kelley Wenzel in a deep blood red, itty bitty turquoise lampwork spacers by Meital, and Indonesian glass beads in teal and more dark red. I knotted the beaded portions with Irish waxed linen in turquoise, and finished off the necklace portion with two lengths of my hand-fashioned copper ladder chain.
