I've been collecting wooden and clay bisque stamps for a while and wondering what to do with them ...now I know! This platter/shallow bowl was created by stamping a fall bouquet design onto a slab of soft clay and shaping the bowl around the design. The glaze has settled nicely into the impressions left by the stamps to create a relief. The piece is 11 inches (28 cm) around and has a flowing organic shape. Great for serving mains, sides, or composed salads. But great as a display piece too, when not in service at the table!Site:
