China Brooch - Folksy

Shared by sgisborne in the Jewellery

Product Description:

This handmade brooch was made using a fine silver bezel on a sterling silver back. The safety catch is also sterling silver and is silver soldered, not glued. This piece is made with a thicker gauge of silver than any others of mine hence is more expensive. The bezel holds the vintage, upcycled shard of Spode china. This shard of china depicts an eighteenth century pastoral scene; this fragment shows the wealthy landowner who is carrying a stock. The shard is white and cobalt blue. The pendant weighs 8.6g, of which 7.7 is silver metal. It is around 3cm wide. This is certainly a unique piece of jewellery.
