A very pretty cranberry red slouchy, or loose beret crocheted hat, with green and blue rainbow effect!The Cranberry red yarn for this crocheted hat is a Denys Brunton designer yarn and is wonderfully soft and is perfect shade for those who love autumnal tones, but with a hint of added interest in the integral coloured tones of greens and blues!
This lovely hat is washable with care in cool water, but I would suggest handwashing and shaping whilst damp.
The slouchy, or loose beret, is a classic style. Crocheted on a large hook to give a loose stitch and in a continuous line, starting in the centre at the top, so there are no seams or joins in the body of the hat. The approximate measurements for the beret is that it has a diameter of approx 28cms, with an opening diameter of approx 16cms when the yarn is relaxed.
