Description
Buttercups are embroidered against a hand-felted meadow background to form the design for this brooch. This is a popular theme which I have stitched before, however, each individual composition is unique.

<br />Distant flowers are represented by French knots in embroidery threads. The buttercups in the foreground are stitched in silk ribbon. The brooch is framed by a row of couching over a fancy yarn of creams, greens and purple. The brooch is stiffened by plastic cut from a recycled bottle. The back of the brooch is neatened with felt and a brooch pin is securely stitched in place.
