I found this beautiful fabric and knew it needed to be a cushion! I have hand painted a small poem which reads
'A flash of harmless lightning
A mist of rainbow dyes
The burnished sunbeams brightening
From flower to flower he flies'
across the fabric in black fabric paint. I have also sewn a couple of vintage buttons in the centre of the flowers.
The back of the cushion is made from cream calico cotton which looks great and is hard wearing. There is an envelope opening on the back so the cover can be removed for washing or plumping purposes.
Cover measures approx 38cm x 38 cm
