Description
The theme for this collage is based around the discarded page, torn from a mystery novel which I found blowing down the street one day. It's not a book I've ever read, but doesn't the title make it sound exciting?!

<br />And of course, the colour red had to feature.

<br />The sides of the frame are backed in delightful, delicate, handmade paper accented with spots of blood red (not pictured). Inside and around the frame are carefully arranged trinkets -a plastic fawn silhouette, a cunning black moustache disguise, a temperature dial for when we turn up the heat, vintage and new buttons, beads, gems, chains, a lucky number 7, a cameo, a key, a top hat, and, perhaps, the murder weapon! A cut section from the text that inspired me forms part of the background.

<br />This evocative piece would add a quirky touch to the wall space of super-sleuths everywhere.
