Description
The cornflower blue contrasts with the hand-felted, meadow background of this embroidered brooch.

<br />The flowers are embroidered in a variety of cotton threads. Naturally died silk and mohair fibres are combined with merino wool, in the felt which forms the background to this brooch.
<br />
<br />The brooch is stiffened with plastic cut from a recycled bottle. A space-dyed, loosely spun wool, in green shades is bound round the edge of the brooch to frame the design.
<br />
<br />The back of the brooch is neatened with felt and a brooch pin is securely stitched in place.
