Beautiful double sided highly polished Crinoid Fossil Jasper Gemstone specimen, which is flat on both surfaces and rounded on the edges. It has been drilled centrally near the top and teamed up with a large silvertone rounded triangle bail, oval link key chain and 2.5cms diameter split ring.Crinoids, also known as sea lillies, or feather-stars, are marine animals that are still found in our seas and oceans today, but have been around for over 500 million years!
They live both in shallow water and in depths as great as 6,000 meters.
This particular fossil specimen is packed full of these amazing fossils, a real slice of history in your hand!
The dimensions of this wonderful and highly polished item alone, excluding the key chain and round split ring finding, is that it measures approx 4.7cms in length, approx 3.5cms in width at its widest point near the centre of the fossil and with a depth of approx 4mms at its thickest point.
