Description
A stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
<br />
<br />A butterfly made from iridised turquoise glass, ripple textured, turquoise being the UK birthstone colour for December.
<br />The other sections are iridised textured clear glass to give extra shimmer.
<br />This clear glass also has a lovely turquoise shimmer.
<br />
<br />I've made the little turquoise coloured head in my hotpot kiln and added tiny bright dichroic chips for eyes.
<br />
<br />I'm really pleased with this new 2014 design of butterfly and also with the idea of making one for each month / birthstone.
