Silver Egyptian Cross with Garnet Pendant : Lune - ArtFire Jewelry

Shared by lune in the Jewellery

Product Description:

I picked up this interesting sterling silver cross pendant several years ago in a little silver shop in the sprawling Kahn al Khalili, a bazaar in existence from the 14th century, and the largest and most famous souq (market) in Cairo, Egypt. Five cabochon garnets are set along the four spokes of the cross. It is strung with additional garnets in oval and heishi shapes on oxidized sterling silver wire, and silver plated beads. Silver plated chain, with hand forged sterling S clasp. Adjustable. Full length, the necklace is about 21 inches. The cross measures about 2 inches long.
