Skinny scarf, nuno felted wool on cotton with flowers and beads

This scarf has been made using a nuno felting technique which allows wool to bind with a base fabric creating a lightweight and soft material that drapes beautifully. This scarf is a skinny scarf, approx. 6" wide which has been made using green merino wool on a dyed cotton cheesecloth base. Red and pink flowers have been added for decoration and a selection of beads have been sewn on to add extra sparkle. The wool layer is very thin allowing the cheesecloth base to show through in places which adds extra texture and interest to the scarf. A lovely gift idea.
