Product Description:

This simple wooden box has been hand decorated with leaves using a pyrography (wood burning) machine to create this one-of-a-kind jewellery/trinket box.

The box has a rounded hinged lid and a decorative clasp closure on the front.
Dimensions: 15 cm (6”) wide, 8 cm (3”) deep, 8 cm (3”) tall.

I buy in the boxes; they have quite a rough finish when I receive them. So before I can start to burn on the designs I sand them down to a smooth finish with 400 grit sandpaper. I then mark the basic design onto the box with pencil before I start to burn. I have signed the bottom of the box. Once the stain has dried I add 2 coats of hard wax oil to seal the wood and to give the box a smooth, glossy feel and appearance.

This jewellery/trinket box is not only a unique piece of decorative art, it is also the perfect size for storing jewellery, loose change, keys, mementos, memories, or your own little treasures.
