Description
My handmade bowls are created without the use of a wheel - I roll out slabs of clay and then drape them into or over a mold. I let the soft clay curl and crinkle where it likes, making each piece unique. This one just naturally formed into a flower shape. I impressed a stalk of real Queen Anne's lace found on a morning walk, in the center and used my other studio stamps to create a frame around the flower.
The piece is glazed in a painterly fashion - with brush strokes of turquoise, chartreuse and lime green.
A cheerful summery piece of functional art for your table!
