Description
Silly rooster can't wait until New Years. Whimsical guy ready to party. This encaustic technique used layers and layers of beeswax and then carved, filled and tooled to a shinning smooth finish.

<br />Beeswax and Damar Resin is melted to it's liquid form and painted (about 6 - 8 layers) each onto a rigid wood base. The image is then carved and filled with pigmented wax. The backs are a solid or multi color encaustic paint. They are then coated with a protective clear finish. Happy Holidays!
