Description
This is a stained glass suncatcher made using the Tiffany copper foil technique.
<br />
<br />I designed this one in 2013 to celebrate the start of winter as I made it on the Winter Solstice Day,
<br />
<br />i've used colours of winter - white, blues and hints of purple in the same design as my Summer and Autumn Solstice suncatchers.
<br />
<br />At the centre is a 4cm glass nugget which i have designed and made in my little Hotpot kiln from bright blue and then sparkly expensive dichroic glass. These nuggets are unique and unrepeatable as each turns out different.

<br />The nugget is is set inside a 16 segmented circle. I've used all different glasses for these, textured, steaky and iridescent. It has lots of movement and interest.
